in was made in response to a call for films for the Olympiad of Animation,
an event put together to mark the Olympics being hosted in LA in 1984.
At under two minutes it is the shortest complete piece I ever made [with
the exception of certain title/credit sequences].
The idea was to show how the Olympics had its origins in Man's primeval
survival skills of running, swimming, jumping and using basic weapons.
There was practically zero time [and even less budget] to develop the
script. As a result the piece is more an experiment in technique than
a properly finished film. This rendered it pretty much incomprehensible
when seen out of context as I experienced at first hand from the head-scratching
reaction at a festival screening, in Espinho.../>
